I have known Mrs. Grant for this 2018 spring semester, and have nothing but the upmost respect, as well as nothing but positive thing to say. I graduated high school in 1994. I thought I would have a hard time comprehending college algebra. Mrs. Grant the first week made sure the class as a whole was comfortable. She introduced activities to help the class first get to know one another and then herself, which put us all at ease.
One of the things I really like about Mrs. Grants is she encourages the class to participate. And what I mean by participate is going to the chalk board to work problems. At first I was a little hesitant. She reassured me I would learn by making mistake. And I/class would get point whether we got the problem right wrong. It didn’t take long before the class as a whole was volunteering to go to the board. I still had to do my part, which was to practice at home. Mrs. Grant suggested math websites to help as well as assisted during and after class so that individuals as well as the class as a whole were ready to move on.
Ms. Grant has been very professional; she has always made herself available when I need her. Her teaching style has been very instrumental in my learning experience. I would recommend Mrs. Grant to anyone enrolling in college algebra. Whether you fresh out of high school, or been out of schools for years. It has been a pleasure for me to have her as my instructor.
